The ‘Running Lines’ system is an assistive device which helps children with visual impairment to run independently. ‘Running Lines’ is a simple guide-wire device that gives directional guidance from a hand piece, balance support from the line and audible and tactile information from buffers on the line. The project is a collaboration between Loughborough University Design School and Mayfields Life-Skills Centre.
