Motor-Activity Training Programme Event

on Friday, 17 June 2016.

Last Friday saw us host a hugely successful Motor-Activity Training Programme (MATP) here in our enormous sports hall.  The Special Olympics Motor Activity Training Program is designed for athletes who are unable to participate in official Special Olympics sport competitions because of their skill and/or functional abilities. The Motor Activity Training Program is designed to prepare athletes -- including those with severe or profound intellectual disability and significant physical disabilities -- for sport-specific activities appropriate for their ability levels. The event attracted visitors from all-over Leicestershire. Friends and competitors arrived from Leicester College, LCiL, Dorothy Goodman School, Spoilt4Choice, Wigston Gardens, Inclusive Futures and many more.

Everyone who attended testified to the success of the day. The sport shall was filled all day with the sights and sounds of activity, endeavour and most of all fun! The day was hugely rewarding and a brilliant time was had by all. Congratulations to all involved with the day. Here’s to next time!
