Aylestone Meadows

Head of Centre - Simon Coopey

Welcome to Ellesmere College and to our Aylestone Meadows Site. It is a privilege to be Head of Centre a Aylestone Meadows and work with a group of inspirational staff, families and most of all our wonderful students.

Our Aylestone Meadows site caters for over 300 students from Early Years provision up to the age of 16. Our Post 16 students are currently still at the Aylestone Meadows site and are looking forward to moving into their specialist provision in the near future. Our students have a wide range of needs and all have an ‘Education and Health Care Plan’.

As a school we are blessed with some wonderful facilities including high quality outdoor learning spaces, sports facilities, soft play and sensory spaces. What is more important is that Ellesmere is a place with a highly experienced and expert staff team who really care about individual students receiving the very best personalised education. Our aim is to provide superb quality learning that enables students to develop their skills and reach their full potential. We have excellent staff who work to provide personalised interventions and learning opportunities for students. This includes pastoral support and a strong focus on well-being.  Our therapy dog Humphrey is a fantastic and valuable addition to the staff at Ellesmere!

Ellesmere’s qualities we aim to instil are confidence, resilience, responsibility, independence teamwork and respect are underpinned by our motto ‘Be your best, be happy, believe’. We are dedicated to making learning fun, creative and inspiring for our students.

Take some time to explore our website. You’ll find lots of information and get to know some of our key staff. Please call our Reception team if you would like to visit the school on one of our viewing mornings.

We are passionate about working with the wider community and with families. Working in partnership we can ensure the very best outcomes for the students that we serve.
